Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bryanne Brennand started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Lucas Stanton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes Grantham got a freekick which was hit by Jess Smee. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Porter in the 9th minute of play forced Blakiston's goalkeeper Pearce Minne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Herman Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Bleazard's late challenge caught a Grantham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Bleazard helped the player get up and apologised. Charles Bleazard kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryanne Brennand in the 23rd minute of play forced Grantham's goalkeeper Larkin Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grantham's goalkeeper Larkin Waller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angus Ludwick got free with Larkin Waller in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 minutes of play, Grantham's Herman Porter made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pearce Minne was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute Edison Haskell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pearce Minne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grantham's Larkin Waller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryanne Brennand in the 38th minute of play. After the first half Grantham were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jayden Pike made the kick off in the second half. If Potter Jobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Larkin Waller didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bryanne Brennand went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Pearce Minne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jayden Pike in the 57th minute of play. Larkin Waller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angus Ludwick in the 61st minute of play. Edwin Beaverley kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Grantham's Jayden Pike got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jess Smee during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Grantham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jess Smee to maneuver through the defense. If Angus Ludwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Blakiston's Charles Bleazard got a free kick in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the match, Bryanne Brennand notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Grantham's Larkin Waller. Larkin Waller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd minute Angus Ludwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larkin Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes Grantham got a freekick which was hit by Carsyn Wilson. The Grantham players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Blakiston from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
