In the 4th minute, Matthew Saisell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bent Rheistein charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bent Rheistein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Walpole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bent Rheistein to maneuver through the defense. After 10 played minutes Tyabb got a freekick which was hit by Boyd Kuch. 14 minutes into the game, Walpole's Bradford Harkness nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. James Kerville made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Earl Shirdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Tyabb's goal looked a bit too open when Bradford Harkness came free, but James Kerville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fletcher Dalglish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Bradford Harkness shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Kerville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradford Harkness, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Walpole's Bradford Harkness in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tyabb's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradford Harkness in the 34th minute of play forced Tyabb's goalkeeper James Kerville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boyd Kuch hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Matthew Saisell kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Earl Shirdon to make the kick off. The supporters of Walpole booed when Tyabb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendon Coote didn't get a good kick on the ball. James Kerville was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eddy Cochrane. 57 minutes into the match, Walpole's goal looked a bit too open when Earl Shirdon came free, but Hans Addison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bradford Harkness sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tyabb getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alfred Delbridge hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Bradford Harkness shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Kerville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Kerville was a little too slow when Fletcher Dalglish got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-2. A collision led to Walpole getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bent Rheistein hit a great ball. James Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradford Harkness in the 79th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Norton in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans Addison prevented the ball from getting in the gole. During the 86th minute of the match Brendon Coote completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brendon Coote a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Brendon Coote hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Fletcher Dalglish in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of James Kerville, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 91 minutes into the match, Alexander Norton notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Walpole's Hans Addison. Hans Addison was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Walpole walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
