Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bo Mcgrath took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Frances's Kent Dowsing got control of the ball when Bo Mcgrath tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andres Warhurst came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Frances's Earnest Oconnell. But to his dismay, Earnest Oconnell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Bo Mcgrath scored 2-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kent Dowsing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kent Dowsing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Mcgrath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andres Warhurst stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Best Macumber's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Quambatook fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quambatook's goalkeeper Andres Warhurst, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Best Macumber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Andres Warhurst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bryden Owens fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quambatook's protests and gave Bryden Owens a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Quambatook was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryden Owens to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Quambatook's goal looked a bit too open when Best Macumber came free, but Andres Warhurst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kent Dowsing was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bo Mcgrath showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 41 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Best Macumber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kent Dowsing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Mcgrath in the 60th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Frances:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quambatook:s goal. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Quambatook. Jeffray Prinsep stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kent Dowsing. 4-3. Connor Todman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kent Dowsing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Larkin Kaine hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Bo Mcgrath got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Frances's Earnest Oconnell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andres Warhurst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. After a rather tough play, Quambatook's Irwin Obrien got a free kick in the 79th minute. Frances's Kent Dowsing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Todman in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Frances was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrizio Porteus to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Bo Mcgrath notched a goal, 5-4, to the right of Frances's Kent Dowsing. Kent Dowsing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ace Pickhills's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andres Warhurst read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Quambatook's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Earnest Oconnell fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Quambatook's Bryden Owens got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Bryden Owens off the ground. After 95 played minutes Quambatook got a freekick which was hit by Bryden Owens. Frances were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after Quambatook's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Larkin Kaine took the corner. Frances's Fabrizio Porteus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andres Warhurst in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Quambatook were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Frances for a fine match.
