Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Malcolm Minne started the match with the kick off. In the 9th minute, Darren Mealmaker made a precise shot to the right of Gregory Hollis. Lyrup's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Clark Mcmanamny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Malcolm Minne in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregory Hollis saved Lyrup from getting behind. Donovan Atterton charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donovan Atterton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Lyrup got a freekick which was hit by Donovan Atterton. Malcolm Minne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gregory Hollis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregory Quinane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrews Bennett having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Benson Adair fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Andrews Bennett, passed just outside the right post. Yerra's Andrews Bennett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Yerra from getting a goal against them. Malcolm Minne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 40 minutes, Lucas Grieve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Grieve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arty Ceney, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benson Adair in the 44th minute of play forced Yerra's goalkeeper Andrews Bennett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Yerra were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benson Adair stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gregory Hollis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Clark Mcmanamny showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 51 minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Clark Mcmanamny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yerra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clark Mcmanamny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Yerra's Darren Mealmaker got a free kick in the 58th minute. Gregory Hollis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Minne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Yerra's Jared Bennett got a free kick in the 61st minute. Andrews Bennett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregory Quinane's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After 63 played minutes Yerra got a freekick which was hit by Jared Bennett. 71 minutes into the match, Yerra's Malcolm Minne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregory Hollis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benson Adair's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrews Bennett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Lyrup's goalkeeper Gregory Hollis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clark Mcmanamny. After having played for 79 minutes, Gregory Quinane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregory Quinane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gregory Quinane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrews Bennett having to interfere. If Benson Adair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Quinane in the 90th minute of play forced Yerra's goalkeeper Andrews Bennett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clark Mcmanamny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Hollis having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Lyrup's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clark Mcmanamny fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lyrup's Gregory Hollis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Minne in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yerra eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
