Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Yerra's Malcolm Minne started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Camberwell's Remington Huff got control of the ball when Clark Mcmanamny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clark Mcmanamny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remington Huff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Remington Huff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Minne in the 7th minute of play. Andrews Bennett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ned Woods's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Rex Lamb struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Andrews Bennett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camberwell. The supporters of Yerra booed when Camberwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryden Breasley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yerra's goalkeeper Andrews Bennett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Darren Mealmaker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Otto Death managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camberwell's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Death was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrews Bennett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Clark Mcmanamny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrews Bennett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Death in the 19th minute of play. When Ike Rowden fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yerra's protests and gave Ike Rowden a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yerra getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ike Rowden hit a great ball. Andrews Bennett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Death, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th match minute, Yerra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Mealmaker to maneuver through the defense. Ned Woods fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrews Bennett having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Otto Death had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrews Bennett. Yerra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Otto Death was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ned Woods in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrews Bennett saved Yerra from getting behind. Ned Woods recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malcolm Minne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Remington Huff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Yerra's Malcolm Minne got a free kick in the 45th minute. Ned Woods struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Andrews Bennett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camberwell. 48 minutes into the match, Yerra's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Death came free, but Andrews Bennett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ned Woods was the one to do the kick off. Remington Huff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jared Bennett in the 51st minute of the match. Remington Huff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Minne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Camberwell getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Fleming Minter hit a great ball. Remington Huff came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Yerra's Clark Mcmanamny. But to his dismay, Clark Mcmanamny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, Yerra's Clark Mcmanamny sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remington Huff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute Malcolm Minne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remington Huff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, Yerra's Malcolm Minne made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remington Huff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Malcolm Minne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Remington Huff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ned Woods sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Clark Mcmanamny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Otto Death came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Camberwell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Death couldn't finish the play. Camberwell's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
