Martin White showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Pustak, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Peter Clist took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Preston Reisz. Preston Reisz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Shepparton's Martin White played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Pustak in the 17th minute of play. Bock Tencer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin White having to interfere. In the 23rd minute of the match, Benedict Addison tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Preston Reisz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Peter Clist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Preston Reisz having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Clist got free with Preston Reisz in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shepparton's Bryson Bacon pulled a muscle in his leg after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Barth Potter's late challenge caught a Shepparton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barth Potter helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Comma getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Barth Potter hit a great ball. Preston Reisz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Clist in the 31st minute. Martin White stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Pustak's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Comma's Corder Tebbit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin White made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 47 minutes of play, Comma's George Pustak made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin White was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Pustak to make the kick off. If Benedict Addison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the game, Comma's Bock Tencer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin White made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Pustak in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin White saved Shepparton from getting behind. A collision led to Comma getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Barth Potter hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Pustak in the 72nd minute of play forced Shepparton's goalkeeper Martin White to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Bock Tencer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 76th minute George Pustak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin White saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin White didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bock Tencer went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the game, Darrell Krause was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Comma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shepparton the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Comma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrell Krause to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Shepparton booed when Comma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brennan Rummens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Shepparton's zone, Bock Tencer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin White came out of the goal and Bock Tencer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin White showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Pustak in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, George Pustak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin White. George Pustak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Martin White showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Pustak in the 96th minute of the match. The Shepparton supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Comma's performance. The match ended with a win for Comma.
