Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Barnard Delbridge made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niles Markou during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Underwood:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Drummond:s goal. After a rather tough play, Underwood's John Flesfader got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Payne Missen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lauder Cordrey made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Payne Missen sent off a good shot on target. Underwood's Lauder Cordrey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Underwood from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnard Delbridge in the 30th minute of play forced Underwood's goalkeeper Lauder Cordrey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lauder Cordrey made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Payne Missen sent off a good shot on target. Barnard Delbridge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lauder Cordrey came out and tried to block the shot, but Barnard Delbridge slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. When Payne Missen came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Drummond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Payne Missen couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Barnard Delbridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauder Cordrey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Underwood's zone, Barnard Delbridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauder Cordrey came out of the goal and Barnard Delbridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Payne Missen struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Lauder Cordrey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drummond. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arneil Oreilly was the one to do the kick off. Lauder Cordrey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olin Ayrton in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Olin Ayrton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Underwood defense, Payne Missen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lauder Cordrey. The Underwood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lauder Cordrey should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnard Delbridge in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauder Cordrey saved Underwood from getting behind. Payne Missen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Barnard Delbridge came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Drummond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barnard Delbridge couldn't finish the play. Lauder Cordrey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Whittington in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnard Delbridge in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauder Cordrey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Payne Missen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lauder Cordrey was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnard Delbridge in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauder Cordrey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barnard Delbridge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lauder Cordrey having to make a save. Lauder Cordrey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Payne Missen, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnard Delbridge in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauder Cordrey saved Underwood from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Olin Ayrton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Alberto Whittington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauder Cordrey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Whittington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnard Delbridge scored 3-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lauder Cordrey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Underwood booed when Drummond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olin Ayrton didn't get a good kick on the ball.
