Spectators: 3802 (Terracing: 3401, Seating: 401, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arty Lonergan took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Douglas Carr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Leach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Bennett Maciver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Aldinga's goalkeeper Russ Leach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Carr. If Arthur Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Aldinga getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Clay Pfingst hit a great ball. Bradshaw Jeffress made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffers Benton in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Bryden Reilly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudy Coote during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rudy Coote hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Russ Leach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Carr in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Arthur Simpson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hollisdale's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Simpson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ Leach breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tony Carragher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hollisdale's Bradshaw Jeffress played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clay Pfingst in the 36th minute of play. Bradshaw Jeffress came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Aldinga's Clay Pfingst. But to his dismay, Clay Pfingst quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Hollisdale's zone, Berke Telfer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradshaw Jeffress came out of the goal and Berke Telfer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clay Pfingst's late challenge caught a Hollisdale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clay Pfingst helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Aldinga getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Clay Pfingst hit a great ball. Douglas Carr got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-1 in the right cross in the 44th match minute before Russ Leach had time to react. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Douglas Carr made the kick off in the second half. The corner led Hollisdale's Bleyd Lawson to fire away a dangerous shot which Russ Leach despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Berke Telfers short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Bradshaw Jeffress to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bradshaw Jeffress made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clay Pfingst in the 59th minute. Arthur Simpson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Russ Leach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Russ Leach stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Carr's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Aldinga's Roland Brennan got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Clay Pfingst received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bradshaw Jeffress came out and tried to block the shot, but Clay Pfingst slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 74th minute. Berke Telfer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Bradshaw Jeffress made a huge save. After 86 minutes, Duke Triplett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hollisdale and the Aldinga players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hollisdale's Duke Triplett got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, Bleyd Lawson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute of the match, Berke Telfer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bradshaw Jeffress was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 95 minutes of play, Hollisdale's Tony Carragher made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Russ Leach was left in no man's land by his defense there! The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
