Singleton
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benjy Warren kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, Harparary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart Dalglish to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Harparary's Benny Edwards got a free kick in the 4th minute. Jordon Lander hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Ronald Dorrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brant Lowes in the 15th minute of the match. Bjorn Zalunardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Sibbold read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Singleton's Eddie Johnson suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Henry Hayman fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harparary's protests and gave Henry Hayman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Singleton booed when Harparary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Hayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ellis Ziliotto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Sibbold having to interfere. Ellis Ziliotto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Marco Sibbold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjy Warren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Singleton's Ronald Dorrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjy Warren in the 29th minute of play. When Brant Lowes came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Harparary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brant Lowes couldn't finish the play. If Benjy Warren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjy Warren took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronald Dorrell. Ronald Dorrell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Brant Lowes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Dorrell having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jordon Lander to make the kick off. Ronald Dorrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjy Warren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Harparary's Henry Hayman got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Marco Sibbold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordon Lander, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Harparary's Alfred Goucher got a free kick in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Singleton's goal looked a bit too open when Benjy Warren came free, but Ronald Dorrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Benjy Warren took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Ronald Dorrell to make any attempt to save it. When Ellis Ziliotto came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Singleton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ellis Ziliotto couldn't finish the play. In the 66th match minute, Singleton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno James to maneuver through the defense. Jordon Lander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Sibbold having to interfere. Ronald Dorrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjy Warren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjy Warren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Harparary's Brant Lowes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronald Dorrell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ellis Ziliotto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Singleton supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Harparary's performance. The match ended with a win for Harparary.
