The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Duncan Mcinnis's late challenge caught a Mulgowie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duncan Mcinnis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Westmead's Duncan Mcinnis got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Mulgowie's 武竞坚 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Dollymore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Mulgowie's Nathaniel Howard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Dollymore. Samuel Dollymore yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 20th match minute, Westmead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donovan Brophy to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Alfred Grabski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Dollymore showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Andre Price took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Smee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, 武竞坚 fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Samuel Dollymore, passed just outside the right post. 武竞坚s short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Samuel Dollymore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nathaniel Howard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donovan Brophy charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donovan Brophy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Donovan Brophy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Elias Lykkehus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, Mulgowie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Biddle Buckland to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Westmead's zone, Nathaniel Howard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Dollymore came out of the goal and Nathaniel Howard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bo Smee to make the kick off. Randall Dearn hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Nathaniel Howard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, 武竞坚 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mulgowie's supporters crossed their fingers, but 武竞坚 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andre Price made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Abbott Waterland sent off a good shot on target. Nathaniel Howard scored 3-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Dollymore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mulgowie made a substitution. Bryan Marsland replaced Jean da Mata. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Nathaniel Howard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mulgowie's supporters rose to their feet, but Nathaniel Howard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Dollymore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 武竞坚 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Mulgowie's Nathaniel Howard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Dollymore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 武竞坚 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brown Millar in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andre Price, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When 武竞坚 came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Mulgowie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 武竞坚 couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Westmead players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mulgowie.
