Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jarvis White made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Kanighan getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Neville Czaczka hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bellevue's Larry Matthes got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Bellevue's goal looked a bit too open when Jarvis White came free, but Lowrey Mcinnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lowrey Mcinnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Wayland in the 10th minute of play. Bevis Boneheyo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luke Alwege in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lowrey Mcinnes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Kanighan booed when Bellevue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larry Matthes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bellevue's zone, Luke Alwege stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lowrey Mcinnes came out of the goal and Luke Alwege tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jarvis White had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Henry Wayland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lowrey Mcinnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bellevue's Bevis Boneheyo got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 26 played minutes, Bellevue's Edmundson Colling shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brye Tinsley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bellevue reached it. Larry Matthes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brye Tinsley having to make a save. Lowrey Mcinnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Alwege in the 34th minute of the match. Bellevue's Munroe Missen got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Munroe Missen struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Brye Tinsley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bellevue. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Munroe Missen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Munroe Missen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Munroe Missen in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brye Tinsley saved Kanighan from getting behind. Brye Tinsley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Munroe Missen in the 57th minute of the match. Kanighan's Brye Tinsley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Munroe Missen in the 62nd minute of play. With a little luck, Bellevue's Lowrey Mcinnes got control of the ball when Luke Alwege tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darin Hemsley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lowrey Mcinnes came out and tried to block the shot, but Darin Hemsley slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 68th minute. Lowrey Mcinnes made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Darin Hemsley sent off a good shot on target. Donovan Willis's late challenge caught a Bellevue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donovan Willis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bellevue booed when Kanighan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donovan Willis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bellevue's Munroe Missen got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Jarvis White fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lowrey Mcinnes, passed just outside the right post. The Kanighan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kanighan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
