When Quade Nelson fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huntingdon's protests and gave Quade Nelson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Huntingdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quade Nelson to maneuver through the defense. Stallionz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Richard Peterson scored to the left of an out of position Cliff Newton, making the score, 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Isaac Clubley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stallionz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huntingdon the free kick. After a rather tough play, Stallionz's Isaac Clubley got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Stephan Fison sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stallionz's Cliff Newton didn't even have to move. Cliff Newton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Peterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Richard Peterson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Stallionz's Cliff Newton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Peterson in the 37th minute of play. Richard Peterson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stallionz's Cliff Newton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Stallionz from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Richard Peterson to strike the kick off in the second half. Cliff Newton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundson Anders's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Huntingdon's Jemmett Devere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Huntingdon from getting a goal against them. Jamese Wayland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jemmett Devere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Huntingdon booed when Stallionz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Byron Turnbull didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jamese Wayland got free with Jemmett Devere in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
