Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Phillip Hines kicked off to start the match. Cliff Wege sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Phillip Hines's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Earl Beverley was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Phillip Hines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earl Beverley having to interfere. Brannan Stebbing was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Munroe Anders showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kane Marsland during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kane Marsland hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Brannan Stebbing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Munroe Anders, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Cliff Wege's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Earl Beverley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Phillip Hines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wickliffe's Phillip Hines got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Phillip Hines managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wickliffe's supporters rose to their feet, but Phillip Hines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Earl Beverley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Dunbogan getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Munroe Anders hit a great ball. Earl Beverley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cliff Wege's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Dunbogan's goal looked a bit too open when Cliff Wege came free, but Earl Beverley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Earl Beverley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip Hines in the 42nd minute of play. Cliff Wege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Earl Beverley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Brendan Butterworth got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Brannan Stebbing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brendan Butterworth in the 50th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Munroe Anders to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Drew Schulze in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brannan Stebbing saved Wickliffe from getting behind. 58 minutes into the match, Dunbogan's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Hines came free, but Earl Beverley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Howarth kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64thth minute of the game Munroe Anders who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wickliffe's Brannan Stebbing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Dunbogan's Earl Beverley got control of the ball when Cliff Wege tried to sneak it across the goal line. Munroe Anders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Munroe Anders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cliff Wege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Earl Beverley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brendan Butterworth came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Dunbogan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendan Butterworth couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Wickliffe booed when Dunbogan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drew Schulze didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st match minute, Wickliffe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mack Ogle to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wickliffe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dunbogan.
