Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Karl Oneill kicked off to start the match. Larry Baptiste hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Karl Oneill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Larry Baptiste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burt Lander, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Petford getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Darian Grieve hit a great ball. Sam Parryman scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alford Fenwick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Missabotti's Sam Parryman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alford Fenwick. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Parryman got free with Alford Fenwick in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darryl Huntington charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darryl Huntington the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Petford getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Darryl Huntington hit a great ball. Alford Fenwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barth Mckay in the 37th minute of the match. Alford Fenwick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barth Mckay's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Karl Oneill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petford's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Oneill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Caddick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Petford booed when Missabotti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carson Magrath didn't get a good kick on the ball. Burt Lander took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dean Caddick. Missabotti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sam Parryman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barth Mckay made a kick off. Alford Fenwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barth Mckay in the 52nd minute of play. If Bryce Kaine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Petford! If Bryce Kaine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barth Mckay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes, Larry Baptiste mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Missabotti and the Petford players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Larry Baptiste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barth Mckay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Alford Fenwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Missabotti's Barth Mckay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alford Fenwick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Larry Baptiste came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Missabotti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Larry Baptiste couldn't finish the play. Barth Mckay might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alford Fenwick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barth Mckay ran back to his position shaking his head. Darryl Huntington hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Sam Parryman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Barth Mckay in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
