Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brock Conlan got the match started through his kick off. Willows's Richard Tisdell got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrews Mcvey was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Richard Tisdell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. If Rusty Cubitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymond Macumber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Conlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neale Watson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Raymond Macumber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Randell Oreilly hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Brock Conlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brock Conlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Grant Fieldhouse fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Willows's protests and gave Grant Fieldhouse a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carani booed when Willows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Fieldhouse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrews Mcvey was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Reese Quinn. When Richard Tisdell came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Willows fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Tisdell couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Rusty Cubitt made a precise shot to the right of Andrews Mcvey. Carani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Brock Conlan came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Carani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brock Conlan couldn't finish the play. Raymond Macumber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Norman in the 42nd minute of play.

Andrews Mcvey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Willows. In the 64th minute, Richard Tisdell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rusty Cubitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Willows booed when Carani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Stafford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reese Quinn kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Willows's zone, Brock Conlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Macumber came out of the goal and Brock Conlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Willows's Howie Soekirno got a free kick in the 80th minute. Brock Conlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Macumber having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rusty Cubitt in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrews Mcvey saved Carani from getting behind. Richard Tisdell struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Andrews Mcvey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Willows. After some careless play in the Carani defense, Richard Tisdell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrews Mcvey. The Carani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrews Mcvey should have stopped the shot. Rusty Cubitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brock Conlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Willows fans cheered their team off the field, for while Carani had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
