Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Peter Ramsay started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nikenbah's Zack Christian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Nikenbah from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the game, Brock Conlan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zack Christian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Carani's Peter Ramsay in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nikenbah's goalie prevented a goal. When Brock Conlan fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carani's protests and gave Brock Conlan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nikenbah booed when Carani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brock Conlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boyce Veitch struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Andrews Mcvey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nikenbah. When Peter Ramsay came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Carani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Ramsay couldn't finish the play. Rodd Dollymore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Andrews Mcvey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sam Norman hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Nikenbah got a freekick which was hit by Boyce Veitch. Peter Ramsay struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. In the 44th minute, Brock Conlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodd Dollymore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodd Dollymore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrews Mcvey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Nikenbah booed when Carani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Mckinley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brock Conlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Zack Christian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th match minute, Nikenbah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Hess to maneuver through the defense. Zack Christian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Conlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Brock Conlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brock Conlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Peter Ramsay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tiger Sugden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute Brock Conlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zack Christian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikenbah's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
