Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dinyarrak's Milton Conlan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Milton Conlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dinyarrak's supporters rose to their feet, but Milton Conlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrews Mcvey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brock Conlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jake Everett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Brock Conlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Everett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Otto Mcgaw fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dinyarrak's protests and gave Otto Mcgaw a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Dinyarrak's Otto Mcgaw got a free kick in the 10th minute. Andrews Mcvey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Conlan in the 14th minute of play. Milton Conlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Deal struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Andrews Mcvey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dinyarrak. If Milton Conlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Deal got free with Andrews Mcvey in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 32 played minutes Carani got a freekick which was hit by Lowrey Fortington. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Milton Conlan took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Andrews Mcvey to make any attempt to save it. Brock Conlan took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jake Everett. Jake Everett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Peter Ramsay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milton Conlan hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Peter Ramsay made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Dinyarrak getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Donovan Dollimore hit a great ball. Brock Conlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jake Everett made a huge save. Otto Mcgaw hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When Brock Conlan came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Carani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brock Conlan couldn't finish the play. Browne Guy hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Jake Everett was a little too slow when Peter Ramsay got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Dinyarrak's zone, Brock Conlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Everett came out of the goal and Brock Conlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Ramsay in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jake Everett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brock Conlan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Jake Everett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 66th minute, Tiger Sugden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrews Mcvey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Deal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Dinyarrak's zone, Peter Ramsay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Everett came out of the goal and Peter Ramsay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 played minutes Carani got a freekick which was hit by Brock Conlan. Dinyarrak's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Peter Ramsay scored to the left of an out of position Jake Everett, making the score, 1-3. 91 minutes into the game, Brock Conlan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Jake Everett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brock Conlan got free with Jake Everett in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Carani supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carani would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
