The audience was convinced that Nichol Cowdell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrizio Beale was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Gregg Giddey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamie Andrusiow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jamie Andrusiow was the one to do the kick off. After 67 minutes of play, Jervois's Davey Pearson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregg Giddey was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Jervois fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Davey Pearson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Berry Galvin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamie Andrusiow in the 90th minute of play forced Trayning's goalkeeper Gregg Giddey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Preston Lewry, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Jervois getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Berry Galvin hit a great ball. Jervois played a much better game than Trayning and deserved their victory. The Trayning players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
