Edwin Oreilly was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ace Ambrose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Louisiana booed when Toonpan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duffield Slattery didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jerrard Pickhills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 30 minutes into the match, Toonpan's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Turner came free, but Oliver Millar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Millar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Turner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver Millar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerrard Pickhills's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Louisiana's Edwin Oreilly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Louisiana from getting a goal against them. Ace Ambrose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Toonpan's goalkeeper Oliver Millar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Jerrard Pickhills got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ace Ambrose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Oreilly having to interfere. After some careless play in the Toonpan defense, Charles Turner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Millar. The Toonpan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Millar should have stopped the shot. Ace Ambrose's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Edwin Oreilly skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Jerrard Pickhills tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oliver Millar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 53 minutes, Karl Alchin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toonpan and the Louisiana players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Jerrard Pickhills came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Louisiana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerrard Pickhills couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Jerrard Pickhills got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ace Ambrose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles Turner was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 69 minutes, Brendan Dobson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toonpan and the Louisiana players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, one of Toonpan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Toonpan. When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, Louisiana's Luck Mcgrath got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Oliver Millar. Ace Ambrose charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ace Ambrose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Toonpan's Ace Ambrose got a free kick in the 78th minute. Luck Mcgrath took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oliver Millar. Toonpan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 81 played minutes Toonpan got a freekick which was hit by Cornelius Withy. After a rather tough play, Toonpan's Darley Crane got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Toonpan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jerrard Pickhills fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Oliver Millar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerrard Pickhills, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jerrard Pickhills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Millar stood somewhat misplaced when Jerrard Pickhills came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 94 minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Louisiana walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
