Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgar Muncaster started the match with the kick off. Abe Wilson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larkin Park in the 4th minute of the match. Ronald Porteus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abe Wilson having to make a save. Tony Kean kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Ronald Porteus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yalpara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Porteus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Yalpara's Ronald Porteus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abe Wilson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Larkin Park sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Scoreless Clones's goal looked a bit too open when Larkin Park came free, but Abe Wilson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronald Porteus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Abe Wilson made a huge save. With a little luck, Scoreless Clones's Abe Wilson got control of the ball when Ronald Porteus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Art Cooney kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Ronald Porteus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Abe Wilson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Larkin Park fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abe Wilson having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Larkin Park recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abe Wilson. Larkin Park showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Abe Wilson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronald Porteus in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Larkin Park in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abe Wilson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the last second Abe Wilson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Larkin Park in the 42ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 46th match minute, Scoreless Clones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Art Cooney to maneuver through the defense. Yalpara were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Scoreless Clones's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carson Schultz took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Larkin Park to make the kick off. The corner ended in Carson Schultz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Scoreless Clones's Abe Wilson did a great save. Abe Wilson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Larkin Park went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larkin Park in the 67th minute of play forced Scoreless Clones's goalkeeper Abe Wilson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scoreless Clones's Abe Wilson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larkin Park in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Ronald Porteus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yalpara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Porteus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abe Wilson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larkin Park, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benney Trims struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Blade Serena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scoreless Clones.
