Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jayden Wege kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Yalpara got a freekick which was hit by Laurence Rennie. In the 6th minute, Bjorn Mcjenkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kirk Jackson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kirk Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blade Serena having to interfere. If Jayden Wege had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ben Howarth's late challenge caught a Yalpara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ben Howarth helped the player get up and apologised. When Larkin Park came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Yalpara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Larkin Park couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Larkin Park notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gunderoo's Bartholemew Gaffigan. Bartholemew Gaffigan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Gunderoo's zone, Laurence Rennie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartholemew Gaffigan came out of the goal and Laurence Rennie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kirk Jackson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yalpara's zone, Jayden Wege stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blade Serena came out of the goal and Jayden Wege tried to chip the ball over his head. The wind increased when Larkin Park made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Larkin Park reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bartholemew Gaffigan. The goal made the score 0-2. The supporters of Gunderoo booed when Yalpara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurence Rennie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Yalpara's Larkin Park sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartholemew Gaffigan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Blade Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jayden Wege, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yalpara's Larkin Park got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronald Porteus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartholemew Gaffigan having to make a save. In the 69thth minute of the game Larkin Park who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gunderoo's Bartholemew Gaffigan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute Jayden Wege shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blade Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Larkin Park in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartholemew Gaffigan saved Gunderoo from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronald Porteus got free with Bartholemew Gaffigan in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jayden Wege came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Gunderoo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jayden Wege couldn't finish the play. Jayden Wege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Blade Serena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blade Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jayden Wege in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yalpara eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
