Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dalwood Skurrie made the kick off and thus started the match. Ernest Sobczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Kirkham having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dapto's Rod Carlisle got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Higginsville's Jamie Wayland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalwood Skurrie in the 7th minute of play. Jamie Wayland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalwood Skurrie in the 9th minute of play. If Dalwood Skurrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Remy Block shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Kirkham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicholas Markwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jamie Wayland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalwood Skurrie did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Jamie Wayland 29 minutes into the match. Jamie Wayland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Markwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Dapto's Dalwood Skurrie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamie Wayland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jamie Wayland was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Blade Cuddihy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Blade Cuddihy really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Nicholas Markwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rob Cochrane to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Nicholas Markwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dapto's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Markwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamie Wayland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalwood Skurrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rod Carlisle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dapto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Markwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalwood Skurrie in the 62nd minute of play forced Higginsville's goalkeeper Jamie Wayland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dalwood Skurrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70thth minute of the game Rob Cochrane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dapto's Andy Kirkham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Nicholas Markwell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jamie Wayland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blade Cuddihy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blade Cuddihy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Higginsville's zone, Lewis Leyden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamie Wayland came out of the goal and Lewis Leyden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalwood Skurrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jamie Wayland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Remy Block had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andy Kirkham. Dapto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remy Block was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Dalwood Skurrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamie Wayland having to interfere. Dapto's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
