Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Tangalooma's Isaac Powderham got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lance Bower in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Howie Petty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes into the match, Tangalooma's goal looked a bit too open when Lance Bower came free, but Howie Petty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Tangalooma's goal looked a bit too open when John Brotherton came free, but Howie Petty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Andres Weller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When John Brotherton came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Springhurst fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Brotherton couldn't finish the play. Jerrard Kesi charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerrard Kesi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jerrard Kesi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Darian Cave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute Lance Bower shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Howie Petty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Howie Petty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Brotherton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darian Cave in the 35th minute of play forced Springhurst's goalkeeper Battle Devere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Springhurst were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Tangalooma's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abbott Mcmanamny took the corner. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Darian Cave made the kick off in the second half. Battle Devere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darian Cave in the 56th minute of play. Battle Devere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dakota Houldsworth in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Lance Bower notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tangalooma's Howie Petty. Howie Petty was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nelson Holdsworth kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Battle Devere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dakota Houldsworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darian Cave recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darian Cave might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Battle Devere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darian Cave ran back to his position shaking his head. Norman Potter hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Abbott Mcmanamny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Springhurst's Battle Devere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darian Cave in the 72nd minute of play. Darian Cave blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Battle Devere having to make a save. A collision led to Tangalooma getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jessop Brading hit a great ball. Dakota Houldsworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Springhurst supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Springhurst would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
