Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonathan Andrews started the match with the kick off. If Pearce Gavin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bower's attack was well implemented in the 3rd minute, but when Edwin Turnbull was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 1-0 became the score in the 5th minute when Pearce Gavin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 8 minutes, Pearce Gavin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bower's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pearce Gavin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Jonathan Andrews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Reilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Tarbucks:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bower:s goal. Tarbucks:s Iggi Burmeister showed great skill when he stopped Cliff Watman:s penalty. After some careless play in the Tarbucks defense, Cliff Watman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iggi Burmeister. The Tarbucks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iggi Burmeister should have stopped the shot. Bower's Pearce Gavin got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iggi Burmeister was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pearce Gavin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. Edmund Alwege kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tarbucks's Jonathan Andrews got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Tarbucks's goalkeeper Iggi Burmeister had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Turnbull. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmund Alwege during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Earl Maddern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pearce Gavin to make the kick off. Jonathan Andrews struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Malcolm Reilly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarbucks. In the 55th minute, Edwin Turnbull ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iggi Burmeister was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tarbucks's zone, Pearce Gavin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iggi Burmeister came out of the goal and Pearce Gavin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bower fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Bower's Pearce Gavin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Long Whittington got free with Malcolm Reilly in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iggi Burmeister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearce Gavin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A hard shot 70 in the game by Long Whittington from a close distance when the talented Malcolm Reilly managed to make a qualified save. Bower's players were relieved. Malcolm Reilly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Andrews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edwin Turnbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malcolm Reilly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Andrews in the 83rd minute of play. Iggi Burmeister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pearce Gavin in the 87th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Jesse Hoey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Turnbull in the 92nd minute of play forced Tarbucks's goalkeeper Iggi Burmeister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jonathan Andrews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bower fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tarbucks had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
