The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rudolph Perandis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darrell Borserio having to interfere. Iggi Burmeister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarrod Eicke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Todd Conlin in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iggi Burmeister prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Arrested Developers's Darrell Borserio got control of the ball when Long Whittington tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute Jonathan Andrews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darrell Borserio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Long Whittington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Andrews in the 41st minute of play forced Arrested Developers's goalkeeper Darrell Borserio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Todd Conlin made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, Tarbucks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesse Hoey to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Barney Osbiston sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tarbucks's Iggi Burmeister didn't even have to move. Darrell Borserio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Andrews in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Conlin in the 70th minute of play forced Tarbucks's goalkeeper Iggi Burmeister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jonathan Andrews, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 71 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Darrell Borserio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Long Whittington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Long Whittington came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Tarbucks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Long Whittington couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tarbucks had played much better football throughout.
