Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pearce Gavin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Quandary were furious when Gregg Cridland was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Bower a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cliff Watman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Quandary's Curtis Shortus. 0-1. The supporters of Quandary booed when Bower was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darin Giles didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Quandary getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Burns Willding hit a great ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Pearce Gavin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bower's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pearce Gavin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute Pearce Gavin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curtis Shortus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quandary's Curtis Shortus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pearce Gavin in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pearce Gavin in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Curtis Shortus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danny Allcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Quandary booed when Bower was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darin Giles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Turnbull's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Curtis Shortus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Bower's Edwin Turnbull nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Curtis Shortus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Bower's Edmund Alwege got a free kick in the 41st minute. Bower's Malcolm Reilly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Bower from getting a goal against them. If Jeffray Wayland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darin Giles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Curtis Shortus. Quandary's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Curtis Shortus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Turnbull, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Bower were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

55 minutes into the game, Darin Giles threw the ball into play from the sideline. Quandary's Darin Kaine quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Bower booed when Quandary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brooks Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Cliff Watman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Curtis Shortus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Larry Mitchell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Malcolm Reilly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Larry Mitchell scored 1-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Malcolm Reilly, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th match minute, Bower was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earl Maddern to maneuver through the defense. Larry Mitchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Malcolm Reilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwin Turnbull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Curtis Shortus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Reilly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffray Wayland in the 82nd minute of play. Larry Mitchell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Reilly having to interfere. In the 96th minute of the match Jerrard Breasley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Curtis Shortus skillfully saved the ball. The Bower players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
