The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clark Greenbank to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrews Carnduff in the 59th minute of play forced Runnymede's goalkeeper Bo Allen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mullaley's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Bart Bostock scored to the left of an out of position Matthews Copelin, making the score, 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clark Greenbank in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bo Allen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mullaley's goalkeeper Matthews Copelin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Runnymede had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
