Yuelba's Dane Tresise got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Tearle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Arne Tearle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pearce Wang was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Dane Tresise made a precise shot to the right of Earle Potter. Quantong's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Dane Tresise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Arne Tearle made the kick off in the second half. Quantong's Earle Potter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curtis Tinsley in the 55th minute of play. If Dane Tresise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The nice shot from Dane Tresise in the 63rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Earle Potter had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Quantong's zone, Dane Tresise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Earle Potter came out of the goal and Dane Tresise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Earle Potter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curtis Tinsley, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Pearce Wang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Earl Benton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Curtis Tinsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute Curtis Tinsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earle Potter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Curtis Tinsley might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Earle Potter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Curtis Tinsley ran back to his position shaking his head. Arne Tearle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pearce Wang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Quantong's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Tinsley came free, but Earle Potter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuelba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
