Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Dane Tresise had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nichol Lenard. Montero United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dane Tresise was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 8 minutes, Ace Moon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montero United and the Yuelba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Ace Moon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nichol Lenard acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Benjy Shirdon. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Brooker Cochrane put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Montero United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yuelba:s goal. Dane Tresise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Nichol Lenard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montero United's Nichol Lenard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curtis Tinsley in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Robert Locke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pearce Wang was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 36 minutes into the match, Montero United's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Alcock came free, but Nichol Lenard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nichol Lenard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rod Alcock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Curtis Tinsley to strike the kick off in the second half. Pearce Wang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Locke, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 59 minutes into the match, Montero United's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Alcock came free, but Nichol Lenard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nichol Lenard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rod Alcock in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Yuelba booed when Montero United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ace Moon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Montero United's Dugald Mundine got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Montero United defense, Dane Tresise kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nichol Lenard. The Montero United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nichol Lenard should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Robert Locke reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pearce Wang. The goal made the score 3-2. In the 79th minute Dane Tresise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichol Lenard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nichol Lenard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rod Alcock went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Dane Tresise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Nichol Lenard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dugald Mundine hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Dugald Mundine came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Montero United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dugald Mundine couldn't finish the play. Dane Tresise took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nichol Lenard. Nichol Lenard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2.
