Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alan Czaczka took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alan Czaczka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duffield Mackney having to make a save. Alan Czaczka might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duffield Mackney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Czaczka ran back to his position shaking his head. Battle Stockwin hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Duffield Mackney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Czaczka in the 13th minute of the match. If Jamie Chamberlain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Caurnamont's Cullen Coburn got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Alan Czaczka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Grasmere's goal looked a bit too open when Jamie Chamberlain came free, but Bern Whittington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grasmere's Sam Ziliotto got a free kick in the 41st minute. It was beautiful to see Caurnamont's Burns Waters in action when he in the 42nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 45 minutes into the game, Caurnamont's Thomas Richard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bern Whittington made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The Grasmere players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caurnamont were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Thomas Richard made the kick off in the second half. Bern Whittington came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Caurnamont's Thomas Richard. But to his dismay, Thomas Richard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bern Whittington was a little too slow when Thomas Richard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-3. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Alan Czaczka put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Duffield Mackney. In the 70th match minute, Caurnamont was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humphry Hollis to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Randle Auger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grasmere's supporters rose to their feet, but Randle Auger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duffield Mackney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alan Czaczka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Randle Auger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grasmere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randle Auger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alan Czaczka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duffield Mackney having to interfere. The Grasmere manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Caurnamont to win.
