Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alan Czaczka made the kick off and thus started the match. Alan Czaczka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Czaczka kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Michael Tucknott's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Bern Whittington skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Grasmere's Alan Czaczka in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bunjil's goalie prevented a goal. Bern Whittington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandes Atkin in the 11th minute of play. Bern Whittington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandes Atkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 16 played minutes Grasmere got a freekick which was hit by Alan Czaczka. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alan Czaczka in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwardo Franklin saved Bunjil from getting behind. When Grasmere's Alan Czaczka in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bunjil's goalie prevented a goal. Michael Tucknott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bern Whittington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brandes Atkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bern Whittington having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Bunjil got a freekick which was hit by Dalwood Holdsworth. Bunjil's Edwardo Franklin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luck Heys in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Grasmere defense, Michael Tucknott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bern Whittington. The Grasmere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bern Whittington should have stopped the shot. Edwardo Franklin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Czaczka in the 40th minute of the match. When Benjy Bennett fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bunjil's protests and gave Benjy Bennett a yellow card for diving instead. Benjy Bennett kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Brandes Atkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunjil's supporters rose to their feet, but Brandes Atkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bern Whittington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Michael Tucknott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brandes Atkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Brynn Goucher got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bern Whittington quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Bunjil getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Meyer Toth hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Alan Czaczka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michael Tucknott might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bern Whittington. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Tucknott ran back to his position shaking his head. Bern Whittington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandes Atkin in the 71st minute of play. Bern Whittington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Tucknott, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Bunjil getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Michael Tucknott hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Grasmere's Edwardo Franklin threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alan Czaczka, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Bunjil getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dalwood Holdsworth hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes Bunjil got a freekick which was hit by Brandes Atkin. After a defensive mix-up in Grasmere's zone, Michael Tucknott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bern Whittington came out of the goal and Michael Tucknott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bern Whittington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandes Atkin in the 94th minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Brandes Atkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bunjil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brandes Atkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
