The supporters of Brooklet booed when Lourdes F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bud Hitchen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brooklet's Damian Ross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evan Mckinley in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Brooklet's Brye Feutrill got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Barry Black fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lourdes F.C's protests and gave Barry Black a yellow card for diving instead. Barry Black kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Rob Wright kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Brendan Jobson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Rudolph Powley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brooklet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudolph Powley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brendan Jobson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Norm Sibbold made a huge save. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lourdes F.C's goalkeeper Norm Sibbold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rob Wright hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Brye Feutrill kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brooklet's zone, Barry Black stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Ross came out of the goal and Barry Black tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evan Mckinley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudolph Powley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Norm Sibbold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudolph Powley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norm Sibbold having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolph Powley in the 46th minute of play forced Lourdes F.C's goalkeeper Norm Sibbold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendan Jobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Brendan Jobson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norm Sibbold stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendan Jobson's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Lourdes F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolph Powley came free, but Norm Sibbold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Lourdes F.C got a freekick which was hit by Jared Mcmillan. Brendan Jobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norm Sibbold having to interfere. In the 79th minute Brendan Jobson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norm Sibbold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Brendan Jobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Lourdes F.C got a freekick which was hit by Raleigh Hamilton. 87 minutes into the game, Brooklet's Brendan Jobson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norm Sibbold made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Barry Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Brooklet were the better team. Brooklet's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
