Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Damian Ross successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 18th match minute, Brooklet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Weeks to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Brooklet getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Paul Weeks hit a great ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 25th minute, when Montero United's Bennett Andrews after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Damian Ross in Brooklet's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The supporters of Montero United booed when Brooklet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Ceney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bo Renny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Montero United's Dacosta Hemsley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Ross narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Brooklet's Brendan Jobson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Grant Vaisey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 48th minute, Brendan Jobson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dacosta Hemsley to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Boris Kernick was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montero United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brooklet the free kick. The goalkeeper, Grant Vaisey, was totally fooled by Brooklet's Paul Weeks, who 53 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rudolph Powley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brooklet's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolph Powley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grant Vaisey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Russel Borserio charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Russel Borserio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Russel Borserio hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Brooklet's Damian Ross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Renny in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Dacosta Hemsley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montero United's supporters rose to their feet, but Dacosta Hemsley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Ross breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudolph Powley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grant Vaisey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Brendan Jobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bo Renny in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Ross prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brendan Jobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Brendan Jobson could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Grant Vaisey however easily saved by the left post. Rick Turner hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Brooklet got a corner. Montero United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Weeks ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Montero United booed when Brooklet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brye Feutrill didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Brendan Jobson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brooklet's supporters rose to their feet, but Brendan Jobson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grant Vaisey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brooklet eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
