Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cole Tout kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Goucher got free with Cliff Benton in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 9 minutes, Cornelius Marcola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blza FC NZ and the Glanmire players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joshua Fordham took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cliff Benton. Blza FC NZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Glanmire's Barth Haslem got a free kick in the 12th minute. Benjamin Goucher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cliff Benton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Glanmire's Cole Tout slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cliff Benton. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. When Cole Tout came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Glanmire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cole Tout couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
