Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cod Williams kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, Neil Szobczak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rockleigh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wahgunyah the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rockleigh's Neil Szobczak got a free kick in the 2nd minute. With a little luck, Rockleigh's Edmonds Muddle got control of the ball when Bradshaw Sewell tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Phenix Glover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arne Devere during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Wahgunyah got a freekick which was hit by Arne Devere. Roy Teuma struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Logan Biddell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockleigh. Bradshaw Sewell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Edmonds Muddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wahgunyah's Bradshaw Sewell got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Phenix Glover had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Logan Biddell. Wahgunyah's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phenix Glover was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Logan Biddell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Teuma, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Phenix Glover got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Rockleigh booed when Wahgunyah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barth Cameron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roy Teuma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Logan Biddell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wahgunyah's Logan Biddell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phenix Glover in the 31st minute of play. Bradshaw Sewell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Phenix Glover got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Logan Biddell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phenix Glover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Wahgunyah players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rockleigh were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phenix Glover stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmonds Muddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradshaw Sewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Rockleigh's Phenix Glover sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Logan Biddell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roy Teuma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradshaw Sewell in the 64th minute of play forced Rockleigh's goalkeeper Edmonds Muddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cod Williams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmonds Muddle having to interfere. Roy Teuma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Logan Biddell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roy Teuma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wahgunyah's Arne Devere got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Arne Devere off the ground. After a rather tough play, Wahgunyah's Arne Devere got a free kick in the 80th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Roy Teuma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockleigh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Teuma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roy Teuma might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Logan Biddell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roy Teuma ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90thth minute of the game Phenix Glover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wahgunyah's Logan Biddell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Wahgunyah getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Benny Powell hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Bradshaw Sewell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmonds Muddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rockleigh eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
