That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Doombup's Duncan Prince sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Larkins Phasey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Doombup's zone, Randall Wittber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradley Clinton came out of the goal and Randall Wittber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Duncan Prince had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Andres Burtt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Nolan in the 29th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Larkins Phasey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Elliott Nolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larkins Phasey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brendan Bonnison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larkins Phasey having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Doombup's Larkins Phasey threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elliott Nolan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 95th minute Duncan Prince shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larkins Phasey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Doombup had played much better football throughout.
