Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pearce Malacarne kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bern Baptiste got free with Ray Hoey in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 8 played minutes Newcastle United Jets got a freekick which was hit by Aden Orr. Gregory Garing, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bern Baptiste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ray Hoey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clark Rafferty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray Hoey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Clark Rafferty kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Japoonvale got a freekick which was hit by Gregory Garing. Pearce Malacarne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesse Rennie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Newcastle United Jets getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Herman Dollymore hit a great ball. Bern Baptiste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Hoey having to interfere. A collision led to Japoonvale getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Brand Howard hit a great ball. In the 34thth minute of the game Brannan Obrien who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Japoonvale's Jesse Rennie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bern Baptiste's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Ray Hoey skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 43rd minute, Bern Baptiste made a precise shot to the right of Ray Hoey. Newcastle United Jets's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Clark Rafferty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Hoey having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clark Rafferty was the one to do the kick off. Newcastle United Jets's Ray Hoey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bern Baptiste in the 54th minute of play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle United Jets's goalkeeper Ray Hoey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bern Baptiste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ray Hoey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Newcastle United Jets's Jesse Rennie threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pearce Malacarne, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 65 minutes into the match, Newcastle United Jets's goal looked a bit too open when Bern Baptiste came free, but Ray Hoey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brannan Obrien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jesse Rennie made a huge save. Pearce Malacarne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jesse Rennie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pearce Malacarne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Rennie having to interfere. If Clark Rafferty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Newcastle United Jets got a freekick which was hit by Drake Mogork. The Japoonvale fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Japoonvale's Clark Rafferty looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 88 minutes into the match, Newcastle United Jets's goal looked a bit too open when Bern Baptiste came free, but Ray Hoey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clark Rafferty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ray Hoey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Clark Rafferty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Japoonvale's Clark Rafferty got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Japoonvale players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
