The Balgowan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruce Tarrant should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Barry Mckinnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruce Tarrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barnabas Williams's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Navin Swan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But to his dismay, Barry Mckinnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Herbert Wirth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Navin Swan in the 84th minute of play. If Barry Mckinnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
