When Darren Fitzpatrick came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Burnbank fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darren Fitzpatrick couldn't finish the play. Raymond Mcjunkins was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darren Fitzpatrick showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Randall Hanslow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ace Grandison was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darren Fitzpatrick to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Darren Fitzpatrick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Raymond Mcjunkins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Fitzpatrick in the 56th minute of play forced Willangie's goalkeeper Raymond Mcjunkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Darren Fitzpatrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Biggs Petty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jess Reisz hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jason Hayward sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 81 minutes into the game, Russ Groves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Willangie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 89 minutes into the match, Willangie's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Hayward came free, but Raymond Mcjunkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jones Goodbun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ace Grandison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Drew Lorenz in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute Jason Hayward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Mcjunkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burnbank walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
