With his leg Robert Millar managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Beechina's Mack Bonham fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Robert Millar made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Mack Bonham sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the game, Beechina's Olin Waterland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Millar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some careless play in the Beechina defense, Matthias Mcjenkins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corey Virgin. The Beechina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corey Virgin should have stopped the shot. After 33rd play minutes Mack Bonham shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Robert Millar and just under the crossbar into goal. Mack Bonham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Robert Millar made a huge save. Beechina's Carl Quinn got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Robert Millar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Robert Millar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Quinn, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mack Bonham to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Curitiba Melbs's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Quinn came free, but Robert Millar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Carl Quinn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jarrod See fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curitiba Melbs's protests and gave Jarrod See a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mack Bonham in the 93rd minute of play forced Curitiba Melbs's goalkeeper Robert Millar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curitiba Melbs's Robert Millar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mack Bonham in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Beechina had played much better football throughout.
