When Angelo Barugh came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Winchester fans jumped to their feet. Birrell Hoskin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alford Schulzte having to interfere. In the 16th minute Birrell Hoskin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alford Schulzte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bock Trezise in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jagger Goring prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Payne Goucher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jagger Goring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Kenneth Gwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jagger Goring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jared Lewry kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Winchester's Jagger Goring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bock Trezise in the 38th minute of play. Alberto Prinsep kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Winchester getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Keefer Duggan hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Birrell Hoskin made the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Winchester got a freekick which was hit by Bernie Beaverley. The audience was convinced that Bock Trezise's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jagger Goring was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Bradshaw Ambrose could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Jagger Goring made a huge save. Norman Boyd hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Jagger Goring was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jared Lewry. Payne Goucher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jagger Goring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Payne Goucher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elderslie's supporters rose to their feet, but Payne Goucher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jagger Goring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Payne Gouchers short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Jagger Goring to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Payne Goucher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Jagger Goring made a huge save. When the match was over Elderslie could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Winchester throughout the match.
