Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Russ Stanton made the kick off which started today's match. Kenneth Gwin's late challenge caught a Oakvale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Gwin helped the player get up and apologised. Alford Schulzte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ike Millgate in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Russ Stanton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oakvale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Russ Stanton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berke Stebbing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bock Trezise, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ike Millgate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berke Stebbing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Gwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes Elderslie got a freekick which was hit by Bradshaw Ambrose. After 30 minutes, Bradshaw Ambrose mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elderslie and the Oakvale players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Elderslie getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bradshaw Ambrose hit a great ball. Payne Goucher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Berke Stebbing made a huge save. Bock Trezise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bock Trezise in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berke Stebbing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bock Trezise made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bock Trezise in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Berke Stebbing saved Oakvale from getting behind. After 54 played minutes Oakvale got a freekick which was hit by Jemmett Czaczka. Oakvale's Berke Stebbing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bock Trezise in the 58th minute of play. Bock Trezise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Bock Trezise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elderslie's supporters rose to their feet, but Bock Trezise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berke Stebbing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berke Stebbing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bock Trezise in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Oakvale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jemmett Czaczka to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Payne Goucher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elderslie's supporters rose to their feet, but Payne Goucher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berke Stebbing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Payne Goucher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berke Stebbing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bock Trezise in the 80th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Payne Goucher put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Berke Stebbing. A collision led to Oakvale getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Blake Butterfield hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Bock Trezise left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elderslie fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 90th minute, Payne Goucher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berke Stebbing was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Elderslie's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
