56 minutes into the game, Carawa's Eddy Kaine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 69th minute Bill Mckay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Mcwilliam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bill Mckay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a left leg Munroe Rennie saved Cardwell from getting behind. In the 95thth minute of the game Best Benton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardwell's Munroe Rennie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carawa were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cardwell for a fine match.
