Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Bindle's Tom Kennewell got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Karl Wenham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorimer Coldicutt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Palmington hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Remy Warren, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dugald Kepert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlisle Egel in the 10th minute of the match. Lorimer Coldicutt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Wenham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Lorimer Coldicutt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Wenham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarvis Hodge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Karl Wenham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Lorimer Coldicutt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Wenham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the York defense, Lorimer Coldicutt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Wenham. The York fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Wenham should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Alford Beer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes Bindle got a freekick which was hit by Dallas Gissane. Bindle's Jarvis Hodge got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Wenham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorimer Coldicutt in the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lorimer Coldicutt made a kick off. Jarvis Hodge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Wenham having to interfere. Jarvis Hodge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Karl Wenham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Wenham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarvis Hodge, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Hank Whitsitt fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored York's protests and gave Hank Whitsitt a yellow card for diving instead. Karl Wenham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarvis Hodge, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Lorimer Coldicutt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Wenham having to interfere. Carlisle Egel struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Dugald Kepert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for York. Irwin Wenham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dugald Kepert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alford Beer in the 82nd minute. Karl Wenham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarvis Hodge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jarvis Hodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlisle Egel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Dugald Kepert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
