In the 47th minute Jarvis Hodge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clarke Weller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jarvis Hodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorimer Coldicutt to make the kick off. Clarke Weller stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorimer Coldicutt's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Tom Kennewell hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Sladevale's goal looked a bit too open when Lorimer Coldicutt came free, but Clarke Weller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarvis Hodge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clarke Weller having to interfere. Chuck Crapp hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Clarke Weller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorimer Coldicutt in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
