The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bill Wivell the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kangaroo United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bill Wivell had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Kangaroo United getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bill Wivell hit a great ball. Carver Saisell struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Bradshaw White didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nelligen. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Carver Saisell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nelligen's supporters rose to their feet, but Carver Saisell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradshaw White breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sam Maciver received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bradshaw White came out and tried to block the shot, but Sam Maciver slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. A collision led to Kangaroo United getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jacob Maslin hit a great ball. Bradshaw White made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carver Saisell in the 25th minute. The supporters of Nelligen booed when Kangaroo United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berne Beverley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bradshaw White showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Maciver, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Nelligen's Kris Hayman got a free kick in the 39th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brannan Flesfader to make the kick off. Bradshaw White showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Maciver in the 54th minute of the match. 2-0 became the score in the 57th minute when Sam Maciver elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kangaroo United's goalkeeper Bradshaw White, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bradshaw White showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Hayman, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Nelligen's Carver Saisell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bradshaw White made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 71 minutes into the match, Sam Maciver had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradshaw White. Kangaroo United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sam Maciver was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Kangaroo United's Bradshaw White played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Maciver in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Berne Beverley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sam Maciver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradshaw White having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Sam Maciver made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kangaroo United's Bradshaw White tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sam Maciver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kris Hayman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bradshaw White tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradshaw White took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Maciver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelligen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
