Bicheno's Bevis Wege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Adair in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Bicheno's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Adair came free, but Bevis Wege reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Jacob Maslin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kangaroo United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Maslin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kangaroo United's Bradshaw White played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Tout in the 44th minute of play. Bradshaw White showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Tout, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Adair to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronald Plummer during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bill Wivell hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Dario Adair had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bevis Wege. Bicheno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Adair was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 67 minutes, Dario Adair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Adair in the 71st minute of play forced Bicheno's goalkeeper Bevis Wege to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jemmett Death's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bradshaw White firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bradshaw White made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith Tout in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Oliver Soekirno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradshaw White was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Keith Tout struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Bradshaw White didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bicheno. Bicheno's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
