Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Brayden Woodbridge took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the match, Naybethong's goal looked a bit too open when Bickford Gwin came free, but Roger Boothey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 6 minutes of play, Leigh's Bickford Gwin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Boothey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cornelius Pywell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brayden Woodbridge in the 19th minute of play. Brayden Woodbridge was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Naybethong's Roger Boothey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bickford Gwin in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Leigh getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Danny Giddey hit a great ball. Andre Rummens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Cornelius Pywell made a huge save. When Andre Rummens fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Naybethong's protests and gave Andre Rummens a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Naybethong got a freekick which was hit by Andre Rummens. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Bickford Gwin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leigh's supporters rose to their feet, but Bickford Gwin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Boothey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelius Pywell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brayden Woodbridge in the 40th minute. Cornelius Pywell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brayden Woodbridge in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Leigh's goal looked a bit too open when Brayden Woodbridge came free, but Cornelius Pywell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brayden Woodbridge kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bickford Gwin to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Kelvin Coote got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roger Boothey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 61 minutes, Brayden Woodbridge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naybethong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brayden Woodbridge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Leigh's Duke Rummens got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Bickford Gwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Roger Boothey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carsyn Clist might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelius Pywell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carsyn Clist ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Brayden Woodbridge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelius Pywell was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. The supporters of Naybethong booed when Leigh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duke Rummens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brayden Woodbridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cornelius Pywell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Boothey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bickford Gwin in the 90th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
