The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Loud Magnay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Loyd Goldsmith fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yulgilbar's protests and gave Loyd Goldsmith a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yalpara booed when Yulgilbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Goldsmith didn't get a good kick on the ball. Long Breasley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Grant Trevena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Yalpara booed when Yulgilbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Goldsmith didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Loud Magnay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yulgilbar's Grant Trevena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brandon Wadley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zackery Kuskop went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Brandon Wadley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zackery Kuskop, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 35th match minute, Yulgilbar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iggi Whittington to maneuver through the defense. If Long Breasley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 46 in the game by Long Breasley from a close distance when the talented Grant Trevena managed to make a qualified save. Yulgilbar's players were relieved.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loud Magnay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Jerrard Colman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yulgilbar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerrard Colman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brandon Wadley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Long Breasley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loud Magnay in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grant Trevena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Yulgilbar's Loyd Goldsmith got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jason Block hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Bartholemew Gronow sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Yalpara's Brandon Wadley didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Yulgilbar's Iggi Whittington got a free kick in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Long Breasley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Grant Trevena was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Jerrard Colman's late challenge caught a Yalpara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerrard Colman helped the player get up and apologised. Yalpara's Brandon Wadley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerrard Colman in the 88th minute of play. The Yulgilbar fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Yulgilbar's Zackery Kuskop looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Yalpara lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
