Brent Moorby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Kennedy in the 14th minute of the match. Brent Moorby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marshal Tongs in the 18th minute. Marshal Tongs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Brent Moorby made a huge save. Darley Mcmanamny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Stockwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Marshal Tongs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Brookfield booed when Kathmandu Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Berresford didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Stockwin to strike the kick off in the second half. Brent Moorby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marshal Tongs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brookfield's Angus Mcquoid got a free kick in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Kathmandu Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Kennedy came free, but Brent Moorby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marshal Tongs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brookfield's Marshal Tongs got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Jonathan Stockwin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kathmandu Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Stockwin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
